what makes you think this pikselivecd is "developer app demo oriented" ?
I wouldn't say this, or shouldn't be like this at least.

it has the same name as the event, it's often advertised as containing
all the piksel software and there are no real instructions for basic
user. So i guess if you're not already aware of what is the piksel
workshop and how the idea of this cd appeared, you may get pretty
confused.
i cannot avoid but jump in. as a solo runner for a "simple" project: to trim down, aka customize any of the many hundreds of liveCD's around. so to make it usefull by fellow colombians and alike inmigrant breeds overpopulating the planet. i well know that knoppix has done very good job in language customizations but their distros continue to be the abuse of the "what else can i fit in here" thing. and thats not making it very usable for a person who only wants to communicate with family...a "minority" (the majority) focused on tools useful for communication...al-jwaritzmi or any other solution to make a fixed ICUCM "i see you u see me" application looked promising...something to be used not only by the transnational hacker VJ but by mom talkin with son over a 12000km distance...kind of a dream to have this tool built on FLOSS. i have thought about moving it (read distribute) around via ONG's and those small corner shops for beer, bannans voIP, internet, and moneygramss where we gather nightly to hand transfer deals...i live in switzerland and my guess is that if i manage to build a little Live, so called demo, i can sort of get some funding money to produce free copies and even pay for the development.....CARITAS, or any other ONG might be interested..
yeap, this is like asking DARPA to halt development and focus on writing turorials in arabic...but, now that we pass by, i stop to say hi.
i will be in Bergen also, where i hope to get your feedback and decide from all of your experience howto build and "underdeveloped LiveCD"
